About this Opportunity:
The Installing Store Manager is typically responsible for the day-to-day operations of a small to mid size retail location. In addition to general management responsibilities, the Installing Store Manager performs the duties and responsibilities of a Technician. General management responsibilities may include sales, managing assigned associates, controlling expenses, cash management, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and store appearance. Additional responsibilities include hiring, maintaining general associate relations, and scheduling of associates to cover operating hours. Small to mid-size retail locations may be referred to as B or C markets.
· Ensures daily work orders are set up and ran and Belron US vehicles are loaded, checked and on the road in a timely manner.
· Maintains all aspects of inventory. May process returns, order SGC and dealer parts, and investigate and resolve inventory related problems.
· Implements and enforces company policies and procedures.
· Assists the General Manager in staffing a retail store in accordance with applicable employment law.
· Motivates and directs the activities of associates to ensure the highest possible productivity is achieved and that World Class customer services is provided to all customers and associates. Deals with associate related problems by investigating situations and taking proper action such as counseling associates or issuing verbal and written warnings.
· Manages daily scheduling, assignment of work orders, and routing of mobile jobs for peak efficiency and customer service.
· Ensures key associates are appropriately cross trained in day-to-day operations.
· Trains Technicians, Mobile Pro's and, Repair Medics on installation techniques and procedures as well as the Glass Technology System (GTS).
· Monitors productivity to ensure time and quality standards are met.
· Promotes, monitors, and trains assigned associates to be 'Belron US Safe'. Ensures associates are familiar with accident
· procedures and all other polices.
· Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
· Controls and tracks inventory utilized by the store, ensures all work orders are properly accounted for and are converted to invoices, and ensures that all remittances are properly accounted for each day.
· Maintains facility and equipment in good working order. Ensures shop is maintained and clean to provide a positive and safe work environment for associates and customers.
· Trains associates on proper vehicle and equipment maintenance and required record keeping.
· Works in conjunction with marketing associates to ensure marketing materials are properly displayed and up-to-date.
· Provides World Class customer service by responding quickly to customer complaints and warranty issues. Investigates thoroughly and resolves to customer’s satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
· All applicants must have a knowledge of automotive glass installations and repair
· Experience working with Microsoft Office is a must!
· Safelite’s Store Manager must have previous experience working with the public and have the capacity to provide exceptional and world class customer service.
· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
· Must have the ability to lift or carry up to 75 pounds.
· 3-5 years of automotive glass installations & repairs experience.
· 1+ years experience in a supervisory role
