Responsibilities:
The Strategic Account Manager, will be responsible for CDW, our largest SMB customer. This job is a key role in the NETGEAR family and is only suited for the best of the best. The Strategic Account Manager’s time will be spent on site at CDW in Chicago and quarterly trainings in Phoenix, Connecticut and Canada.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide sales foundation and credibility, building loyal relationships that produce recurring revenue streams with CDW’s 1000+ Account Managers and specialists
- Meet and exceed predetermined revenue objectives while continuously creating and cultivating opportunities for revenue generation
- Assisting the CDW inside and field Account Managers, pre and post sales, positioning the correct NETGEAR solutions for their customers
- Provide accurate and valid feedback from the field and customer base
- Coordinate & provide sales representation at similar accounts
- Own marketing, purchasing, rewards programs, special pricing programs and rebates and manage P&L for this territory.
- Become an expert in the design and implementation of NETGEAR products, and be proficient in the use of new product features
- Be a key contributor of the US SMB Sales TEAM, fostering a positive, achievement-oriented environment, while supporting and maintaining the company’s culture and reputation of integrity
Special Requirements:
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
- Ability to establish and accomplish goals with limited direct supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personalities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills
- A fluid understanding of the sales and channel sales process
- Must be capable of independently presenting NETGEAR solutions to current and potential customers
- In-depth knowledge of Networking technologies including wired, wireless, security and storage Networking products
- Ability to provide solutions for customers using NETGEAR products
Education: College degree preferred. BS/BA in Business or related field/work experience.
Experience: 5 years in tech sales working for a manufacturer. At least 2yrs experience doing business with CDW is required.
