Strategic Account Manager

Brink’s U.S., a division of Brink’s, Incorporated, is the premiere provider of armored car transportation, ATM servicing, currency and coin processing, document destruction and other value added services to financial institutions, retailers and other commercial and government entities.  The company has a proud history of providing growth and advancement opportunities for its employees.  We have a challenging opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager.

 

Position Summary

 

Senior sales position responsible for managing all aspects of significant customer relationships.  Initiates and builds strong relationships with new and existing customers assigned.  Identify new business opportunities and apply proper solutions to meet customer needs and strengthen partnerships.  Required to position all Brink’s U.S. products and services in a solution-selling environment coordinating all opportunities with the customer solutions group.  Achieve sales objectives and quotas consistent with company growth strategy.  Coordinate all account activities and customer issues with internal resources.  Develop and maintain strong partner relationships with significant customers.  Manage all aspects of significant customer relations with responsibility for customer satisfaction. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

§         Primary responsibility for managing relationships with strategic and national customers and generating sales within the context of providing solutions.

§         Provide product, marketing, support and common technical information on Brink’s offerings as part of the account management process.

§         Proactive planning targeted at issue management and solving customer needs.

§         Develops and implements customer specific strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for Brink’s U.S. product lines and services.

§         Act as the single point of communication for strategic planning and for tactical issue escalation/resolution. 

§         Works with various product lines (e.g. Cash Logistics, CompuSafe, etc.), the customer solutions group and regions to improve market share and strategic account penetration. 

§         Organizes, coordinates and executes account strategies that lead to increased sales and improved strategic relationships with existing and potential accounts.  

§         Work in a team environment with the customer solutions group, Business Support Services Group, marketing, other sales personnel, operations and management to deliver seamless customer relationships to strategic and or national accounts.

§         Creates opportunities to sell business solutions, integrating multiple product lines, to strategic accounts in the financial or retail markets.

§         Closely interfaced with the customer solutions group to develop comprehensive product and service solutions for our customers.

§         Establishes and maintains relationships with customer decision makers and key strategic partners at the highest level where appropriate.

§         Introduces key executives and customer solutions team to appropriate levels of the customer organizations.

§         Achieves satisfactory margin, EVA and market share growth in relation to set objectives and economic trends.

§         Sells “The Brink’s Difference” and positions the value of a strategic account relationship.     

 


Qualifications

 

Experience must include a successful track record of managing large accounts at all levels.

 

Must be able to present multiple, integrated product/service solutions at various mid and high executive levels within large financial and retail organizations. 

 

Knowledge of decision-making process and workflow of financial institutions and/or retail organizations is needed. 

 

Demonstrates outstanding communication and presentation skills and possesses the ability to articulate competitive differentiation.

Education and/or Experience

 

Bachelor degree required, preferably in sales, marketing or business or equivalent combination of experience and training.  Knowledge of the industry and potential strategic accounts is essential.  Thorough understanding of sales and marketing with an emphasis on providing solutions is expected.  Three or more years experience with major customers preferred.  Must have a track record of success.
