With our growing business, we are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our team!

 

The Strategic Account Manager serves as a day-to-day, point of contact for clients and coordinates internal company resources in the name of growing client business. You will manage top-tier clients and maintain continuous proactive dialogue with clients to ensure that their needs are being met by Lyris' technology and services. You will learn and understand clients' businesses, identify and capitalize on growth and expansion opportunities, and then translate the opportunities into technical solutions or supporting services. You will proactively ensure that clients are satisfied with their email/online marketing program results.


Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage a portfolio of dedicated top-tier clients
  • Ensure clients are successfully using the Lyris application by working with clients to understand business objectives and recommend campaign strategies to achieve those goals
  • Ability to quickly understand, assess, and address clients' challenges and effectively work towards resolution
  • Ensure clients are adhering to deliverability best practices and are compliant with industry regulations
  • Ensure clients are following email marketing best practices to optimize their online marketing efforts
  • Develop strong relationships with clients to protect ongoing revenue stream and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • Achieve upsell revenue targets on a monthly & quarterly basis
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Sales, Deliverability, Professional Services, Consulting Services, and Customer Support to provide services required to meet client program expectations
  • Drive regular account review with clients
  • Willing to travel to client sites for meetings
  • Provide insight on clients' needs to internal teams on a regular basis; represent clients' views, requirements, and experience throughout the organization

 

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required
  • 5+ years experience in online marketing, account management, or client services
  • 2-3 years of sales experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work tactfully through challenging client issues
  • Superior project management & time management skills; strong business acumen
  • Problem solver who takes initiative to get things done; an enthusiastic go-getter!
  • Technically literate and comfortable working with online marketing technologies, and desire to build technical knowledge
