Position Description:
Responsible for managing and acting as a single point of contact for strategic accounts, in accordance company-designated strategic account revenue designation, within a specified District or cluster of branches, MSA or Region; goal is to increase company market share with such customers and grow strategic account customer base. Some SAMs may be assigned large projects or prospect large projects.

Qualifications:
Maintain and develop relationships with existing strategic account customers and their subsidiary companies in District, MSA or Region, acting as a single point of contact for such customers within their assigned geography;
• Call on frequently to identify customer needs.
• Develop personal business relationships through approved company entertainment.
• Prepare and provide formal business reviews to assigned customers, as needed
• Monitor and prospect large projects involving strategic account customers; send leads to branch sales representatives.
• Monitor branch accounts and assist in transition of branch accounts to strategic account status, based on revenue growth.
Support the overall efforts of and closely partner with the branch sales representatives, Sr. Sales representatives, and the National Account Managers, to drive national account revenue and branch revenue, in addition to their assigned strategic accounts.
Work within region to promote opportunities available outside of territory.
• Align efforts with branch sales reps and National Account Managers in meeting goals and objectives.
• Maintain good and up to date records on all assigned accounts as well as sub accounts
Prospect and qualify new strategic accounts from existing branch accounts, dormant or non-customer accounts, including competitor accounts;
• Identify target accounts using Industry accepted sources.
• Successfully solicit new accounts as budgeted for the specified territory.
• Utilize Rentalman system, Dodge reports and company sales force automation tools to increase productivity and provide superior customer service
Assist the Credit Department on any outstanding issues concerning strategic accounts
• Identify delinquent accounts and work with credit and customer to resolve.
• Handle credit issues not resolved in the field.
• Manage DSO of assigned accounts to Company DSO goal.
