Key Role:
Support Booz Allen's strategic communications team with delivering to US Army clients engaged in ongoing internal and external communications programs. Serve as the strategic communications lead for the Army's Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM) and work closely with public affairs, educational outreach, and corporate communications to develop and manage command briefings, print materials, newsletters, annual reports, media inquiries, and other information products. Apply knowledge of highly technical material and translate it for general use and comprehension by both technical and non-technical audiences. Perform research and analysis to complete briefings and content suitable for technical publications and apply knowledge of publication principles. Work closely with the program manager to produce content for a wide variety of applications, including general information products, events and exhibits, print materials, and Web and social media environments. Provide support to RDECOM events and exhibits, as necessary. This position is located in Aberdeen, MD.

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience working in a professional work environment or in public relations
-Experience with writing and editing articles using Associated Press Style Guide
-Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree required
 
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with working in a fast paced environment and multitasking
-Experience with working in a government or DoD environment preferred
-Experience in working with Microsoft Project 2007 a plus
-Experience with HTML
-Experience with social media a plus
-Experience with strategic and communications planning a plus
-Ability to be a forward thinker
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Active Secret clearance
