Janssen Alzheimer Immunotherapy Research & Development, LLC - Director, Strategic Marketing will develop a portfolio strategy for Alzheimer's Immunotherapy, including deeply understanding unmet needs, maintaining contemporary knowledge of the competitive landscape, developing Target Product Profiles (TPP) in conjunction with R&D, and developing and clearly articulating a commercial vision and point of view for the Alzheimer's portfolio. A key aspect of the role will be to ensure that critical needs are aligned within the Alliance, and are incorporated into the development programs, The Director, Strategic Marketing will have the following responsibilities (in conjunction with alliance partners): Establish clear objectives for and contribute to design of appropriate market research to gain deep global insights from key stakeholders; Generate forecast assumptions, to guide team and management decision making; Define early product concept/positioning development and refinement; Collaborate with HE&P to develop early reimbursement strategies and to understand the needs across all key markets; determine key indications, sequencing and life-cycle management strategies; most importantly, to develop and communicate portfolio trade-off decisions, based on sound commercial rationale.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree is required, MBA or Masters Level degree is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required. Launch experience with a pharmaceutical or bio-pharmaceutical product, or experience in a lead role managing a marketed pharmaceutical or bio-pharmaceutical product is also required. Experience in strategic marketing, market development and new product/drug development processes are required. Extensive knowledge of clinical and regulatory development desired. Experience partnering with pharmaceutical R&D teams is required. Strong analytical skills in uncovering and analyzing problem areas/growth opportunities are required. Excellent and proven collaborative skills in developing relationships, leading highly matrixed, high performing, multi-functional cross-company teams, are required. A proven ability to create alignment across teams from multiple operating units, functions and geographies is required. Global experience is preferred. Approximately 20% domestic travel required.
