The role of the Strategic Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for providing support and guidance to the network procurement teams in the development and execution of on-line procurement sourcing strategies to ensure quality procurement processes are completed efficiently and effectively. This role will be involved in training on a sourcing process, ensuring compliance to the process, and guiding category team leads through the standard sourcing process. Duties will include performing and supporting category sourcing activities across Indirect & Direct categories which include contracting for Services, Capital Equipment, Ingredients, Packaging, and Commodities. This role will also require participation on cross-functional division teams to leverage internal knowledge of the Strategic Sourcing process, while challenging historical practices to drive savings through the sourcing process. This position will report to the Direct of Indirect Procurement and will support the Manager of Strategic Sourcing.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide tactical and strategic direction to procurement teams on the on-line sourcing process and ensure best-practice implementation and compliance of category-based strategies from category team leads. Learn and assist the Manager of Strategic Sourcing to manage the company’s established R-Source Methodology, Strategic Sourcing Process, and ensure the strategic sourcing solution meets the requirements of the category team leads/teams.
- Create training materials for category managers to learn the strategic sourcing process and tools.
- Support and provide guidance for on-line negotiation and preparation of bids, request for information surveys, request for proposals, requests for quotes, sealed bids, auctions, alternative bidding, and proposals, including specifications, supporting analysis, comparisons, and other required documentation.
- Manage multiple e-Sourcing projects across the corporation via network/center led environment.
- Support and review of multiple sourcing requirements and provide recommendations to category team leads.
- Create the auction and preparation materials for auctions. Provide primary support for reverse auctions.
- Create summary reports for Category Team Leads to use for bid analysis from the eSourcing tool.
- Manage and run Scenario Analysis/Optimization in the eSourcing tool for the category team leads
- Provide project management support for teams to set and meet project timelines and goals.
- Support and guide category buyers in developing and executing category strategies.
- Provide support for category team leads to complete sourcing templates required for bid process execution.
- Manage central repository of bid documents and templates for Network Procurement Group.
- Track and provide R-Source reports to show bid process status updates to Purchasing Council/Network Procurement Groups and other functional groups/stakeholders as requested.
- Raise any potential sourcing issues to the appropriate parties as necessary.
- Create innovative ways to work, and build teams that includes; Procurement, Finance, IT, and Suppliers from multiple divisions.

Job Qualifications- The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a BS/BA in Business, Supply Chain, Finance and/or Engineering
- 3 – 5 years experience with sourcing direct & indirect materials and services using eSourcing tools managing eRFx’s, Auctions, and Scenario Analysis.
- Successful track record with measured results managing non-production expenditures and sourcing indirect categories.
- Knowledge of on-line sourcing solution Emptoris is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management and formalized strategic sourcing process.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, with a strong influencing and persuasive talents
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Capability to work with suppliers and internal groups in evaluating opportunities.
- Must have strong analytical skills, process oriented, and methodical in approach.
- Experience with Excel and Access Database Management.
