We are currently searching for Stress Engineer to work for our client who is an Aerospace company. We currently have an opening in Montreal, Canada for a permanent employee. Description: Engineering, structural stress analysis of aircraft, is responsible for conducting the analysis, evaluation and technical validation of the concepts of structural repair and modification of military aircraft, including F/A-18 Hornet. • Interprets and integrates the data, methods of loading and safety factors according to specifications and standards (FAR, CAR, or Mil Standard), and validates the design criteria • Analysis by conventional calculation methods and / or finite element methods, strength of materials, including damage tolerance and fatigue • Conducts reviews of structural configurations, break in testing and / or service to provide recommendations for inspections, modifications and repairs of the fleet • Participates in defining inspection and installation of strain gauge for data collection • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace or equivalent • Minimum of four (4) years experience in aviation • Control of one or more of the following: NASTRAN, PATRAN, MSOffice, CATIA V5, Matlab and MathCAD • Ability to read drawings • bilingualism desired (French and English) • Knowledge of the F/A-18 Hornet is an asset • Experience with military specifications and standards a plus
