Seeking Experienced Structural Engineer to Manage Projects
Arlington, VA
Are you a highly motivated engineer who thrives on being challenged daily to develop innovative solutions in a collaborative environment? Does structural failure fascinate you more than conventional structural design? Do you wish that your work was more gratifying in terms of contributing more to the safety of people and infrastructure? If this describes you, than becoming a consulting engineer specializing in structural response to explosive effects may be the right career path for you.
QUALIFICATIONS
. We are seeking full time, Masters level, licensed civil/structural engineers
. A minimum of 5 years experience handling multiple, fast turn around building studies that require extensive client coordination.
. Project management experience is essential.
. Excellent leadership, communication, and creative problem-solving skills are also a must.
. Experience with building design, structural dynamics, failure analysis, retrofit design, federal government work, construction administration and Autocad required. Matlab a plus!
. Knowledge of structural response to the effects of conventional and terrorist weapons, and current government anti-terrorism standards is preferred. Must be willing to travel approximately 5 days a month.
. Must be able to obtain a DSS (Defense Security Service) clearance (this requires US Citizenship).
. Available for training one to several months in San Francisco.
