Position Description:
Sargent & Lundy will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your academic training in Civil/Structural Engineering. You will work with a diverse and highly qualified team of engineering and design professionals on a wide range of challenging and interesting projects.
You will be able to work on a broad range of structural engineering activities, including structural design, preparation and review of engineering calculations, and related structural analyses supporting major modifications to existing nuclear power plants.
Using state-of-the-art computer tools, you will perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, component supports, and foundations.
In addition, you may have the opportunity to travel to the plant site locations to do field examinations and structural engineering evaluations.

Qualifications:
A BSCE or MSCE degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering with course work in behavior of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in structural design and analysis is required.
Computer proficiency in STAAD PRO, SAP2000 and GT STRUDL programs is highly desired.
