AECOM Transportation is looking to hire a talented Structural Project Engineer II with the following skills and abilities:

Competent engineer in supervising the work of one or more technical disciplines with a broad general knowledge of many aspects of structural engineering and bridges. Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all technical aspects of mid-size to large projects. Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected.

The essential duties for this position may include:

Disseminate technical information between the project team and client/stakeholders

Coordinate work of the various disciplines and sub-consultants on the project

Initiate and complete the correction of any conditions which may adversely affect the completion of the project on schedule and within budget

Oversee lead discipline engineers and sub-consultants on projects, monitor their individual performance and provide guidance and direction as needed

Gain experience in the project management by acting as the PM’s deputy

Conduct regular project meetings with appropriate personnel to disseminate technical information, coordinate interdiscipline issues and monitor the continuing progress of the project

Qualifications

Broad knowledge of structural engineering and bridge design

10+ years of related experience (3+ of which are overseeing and coordinating technical aspects)

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Strong leadership skills

High proficiency in developing plans, specifications and engineering estimates that meet the company and client standards

Strong initiative

Ability to work under pressure

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Masters Degree in structural engineering preferred. Registration as a PE is required.
