The Combustor-Augmentor-Nozzle Module Center (CANMC) is looking for highly motivated and experienced Structures Engineers to work on the world(`9s most advanced military and commercial gas turbine engine diffuser cases and combustors, exhaust nozzles, augmentors, turbine exhaust cases, and fan ducts.



These postings represent multiple opportunities in the CANMC to work on various new engine programs, both commercial and military. Hiring managers have pooled their requirements and are coordinating hiring in order to allow the candidates to interview for and choose from the many opportunities currently available in the CANMC. Structures engineers play a key role in an integrated product team and will contribute to the overall design, analysis, fabrication, and validation of new designs. The engineer is expected to be knowledgeable of part requirements and Engineering Standard Work, be capable of developing and refining designs that meet those requirements, and be able to clearly communicate design intent and process. Candidates should have familiarity with analysis of complex structures using finite element analyses, the interaction of thermal, pressure, contact and acoustic loading and an understanding of the principals of durability prediction. A solid understanding of the basic principals of structural mechanics, decision making and the ability to coach and direct less experienced engineers is a must. Further, engineers are sought who are experienced in the aerospace field, continuous improvement tools, and key quality requirements. Individuals are needed who can step in immediately to lead teams in a focused fashion to achieve challenging program goals.

BS/MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.



- 7+ years of structure analysis and validation of new design is required.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.

- Demonstrated problem-solving experience in multi-functional team environment.
