GENERAL DUTIES
Assists in preparing and providing student support services to promote the personal development of a diverse student population.
- Assists student organizations/clubs in planning, implementing events and programs, and managing expenditures
- Coordinates and helps present informational and educational programs, such as student leadership training and orientation
- Assists with the management of student affairs facilities, such as acquiring equipment and arranging event logistics
- May assume responsibility for one or more specific student programs
- Performs related duties as assigned
CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
-Provide oversight of ethnic, heritage and underrepresented initiatives such as Latino Heritage Month, Black History Month, Women's History Month, Asian Heritage Month, Disabilities Awareness Week, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Affairs.
-Coordination of intercultural programming, multicultural leadership initiatives, student staff training, diversity retreats, and other educational initiatives.
-Provide leadership for historically underrepresented students and advise and advocate for issues related to students of color.
-Facilitate college-wide collaborations to better serve diverse student body and meet the needs of underrepresented students.
-Coordinate Mentoring Program for incoming students of color.
-Oversee the development and maintenance of web page, online and print communications related to Multicultural and Veterans Affairs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years of relevant full-time experience is preferred. A strong customer service orientation, leadership skills and attention to detail are essential along with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. COMPENSATION
$35,576 - $38,407 Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criteria to be eligible for health benefits. Health benefits are also extended to retirees who meet the eligibility criteria.
