Job Description:



Administer and manage high dollar major subcontracts from $1M to in excess of $20M in value.







Manage the overall sourcing and procurement activities from development through production. Potential to travel internationally as required.







Manage tactical and strategic aspects of supplier relationship with large 'competimate'.Monitor and Manage incoming supply of materials to fully support MRP and independent demand; includes interface with functional and internal support organizations, such as Engineering, Production Control, Operations and MPM's.







Make upper level management presentations on subcontractor performance. Coordinate requirements and strategy with various Business Units across the Enterprise for maximum leveraging opportunities.







Lead the supplier management team and be the focal point for subcontractor performance. Includes: RFP generation, Review adequacy of requirements flow-down; Development of negotiation strategy and lead multi-functional negotiation teams; Negotiation of price, delivery, payments and all contractual terms; Purchase order



Placement and maintenance; Milestone monitoring and completion assessments; Trend analysis.







Able to perform Price Analysis and Cost Analysis. Serve as group level coordinator and program administrator for the High Risk Supplier Management and Enterprise Supplier Risk Tool processes.









Required Skills:



* Minimum of 6 years of direct DoD procurement/major subcontract management experience.



* Experience with FAR/DFAR.



* Ability to travel internationally, if required.



* Experience with negotiation of terms and conditions.



* Experience with leading subcontract management teams.



* Thorough understanding of Risk identification, mitigation and contingency planning.



* Ability to identify trends, solve for Root Cause and monitor Corrective Actions.



* Effective leadership skills









Desired Skills:



* MBA



* Knowledge of ITAR.



* Direct experience in awarding and managing Cost type contracts.



* Experience performing cost analysis of subcontractor proposals.



* Integrated Product Team experience (leadership experience a plus).



* Six Sigma and productivity improvement experience.



* SAP experience.



* Program office experience



* Earned Value
