State Auto Insurance Company, an eighty-eight-year-old, A+ (Superior rated), property-casualty insurance company has an opening in our West Des Moines, Iowa, office for an experienced subrogation specialist.  The incumbent is responsible for evaluating, documenting and negotiating subrogation recoveries. Claims may be assigned from any state wherein State Auto operates.  Adjuster licensing and continuing education is required by statute in some states.

Qualified applicants should possess one to two years of previous subrogation experience or comparable insurance industry experience.  Knowledge of claims/insurance work and terminology is required.   This position also requires excellent communication, interpersonal, PC computer, and organization skills.  A college degree is preferred but not mandatory.
