We have an immediate need for a Substation Automation Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
CDI is currently recruiting for our client a global provider of energy equipment and solutions for the power generation and oil gas industries. This challenging contract opportunity is located at our client site in Wendell, NC.
Substation Automation Engineer:
Required Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering, MSEE is preferred.
Need 4 years plus substation experience
--experience with RTUS
--experience adding and designing automations
--need practical experience
--network design experience
--61850 goose messaging experience a plus
Technical knowledge of numerical protection relays and applications.
Experience in relay panel design.
Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft tools, AutoCAD and other discipline software like
Aspen and/or SKM products.
The candidate will be required to travel to project sites.
In addition the following is preferred:
Knowledge of ANSI standards, IEC standards. High Voltage, Distribution and Generation applications experience, working for Utility and Industrial customers.
Knowledge of transmission and distribution, relay and protection; capable of designing and specifying them; able to approve and supervise the designs of other engineers.
Professional Engineer license
