SunGard Procurement Specialist (Demand & Compliance Manager)

Position Description:
The incumbent at this level owns the operational implementation of the category strategy as defined by the Category Director. The incumbent is responsible for understanding existing procurement policies and processes, partnering with business entities to represent their demand requirements, monitoring compliance across the organization as well as vendor performance, and reporting issues and metrics accordingly. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for making recommendations for cost reduction opportunities by utilizing all levers of the category such as rate (price paid), demand management, compliance management, and where applicable engineering and specification changes.

Duties & Responsibilities
Receives PO transactions for strategic processing via Helios Purchase Order system.
Executes the Purchase-to-Payment process
Manages Demand/ Compliance control and escalates non-compliance issues
Implements and monitors performance of category objectives/strategies
Takes ownership of implementing the sourcing process with operational teams
Facilitates communication of team objectives and plans with key stakeholders
Implements and monitors supplier performance metrics
Oversees financial control for designated categories

Position Requirements:
Required Experience/Skills and Competencies/Knowledge

• BS Degree or equivalent work-related experience
• 1-3 years previous experience within relevant functional experience within Supply Line Management.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage small projects.
• Broad knowledge of business requirements around IT, Telecom and/or general business services (consulting, training, 3rd party services).
• Solid experience in the use of e-mail, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP and database experience a plus.
Preferred Experience/Skills and Competencies/Knowledge:

• BS Finance, Business, or Supply Chain
• Knowledge of category management, business and supply line management practices, theories, principles, and disciplines
