Supervisor – Medical Billing Collections

We are currently seeking a Supervisor – Medical Billing Collections

 

Calloway Labs is seeking a Collections Department Supervisor who will oversee a team of Accounts Receivable Representatives in a rapidly growing and fast-paced environment.  The Supervisor will be responsible for leading team efforts in the administration of collection processes and ensures team’s successful compliance to company standards.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Develops staff and increases size and performance of department.

·         Determines work procedures, monitors work schedules and workflow.

·         Prepares and issues written and oral instructions.

·         Examines work for accuracy, completeness and conformance to policies and procedures.

·         Achieves key performance targets in the areas of accounts receivable management, such as days in AR, bad debt, cash receipts and aging accounts receivable targets. 

·         Analyzes financial data, identifies opportunities and implements process efficiencies for continuous quality improvement management.

·         Analyzes process flows, standard operating procedures and accounts receivable trending and then makes recommendations for process changes and system enhancement

·         Communicates essential information to the employees within the department and/or within the Company.

·         Works with various levels of the company.

·         Interacts with customers, field representatives, and other departments in an effort to resolve collections problems.

·         Works with confidential material on a daily basis and maintains strict confidentiality at all times.

·         Assists Billing Director to analyze, plan and coordinate claims processing and collections activities to optimize A/R turnover.

·         Works with Billing Director and other managers to ensure company goals for billing and accounts receivable area are achieved

SKILLS

·         Requires the management, communication and quantitative skills needed to administer a group with diverse functions.

·         Must have the analytical skills necessary to diagnose and correct problems, identify error sources in policies and procedures, and schedule and plan the work of others.

·         Must have the ability to meet deadlines, to concentrate and to pay attention to details.

·         Requires the independent judgment needed to deviate from standard policies, procedures, and schedules when necessary.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·         High school diploma

·         Four years of Medical Billing Collections experience with at least two years supervising other staff in the healthcare industry. 

·         Extensive knowledge of healthcare billing and policies and regulatory requirements.

·         Strong attention to detail.

·         Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to train others.
