The Elyria Site (Lear Romec Brand) offers the most reliable positive displacement pumps in the industry industry consisting of vane, gerotor, and spur gear configurations. Products include lube and scavenge pumps that are ETOPS rated; high contamination resistance gerotor pumps for oil applications; high pressure spur gear pumps; centrifugal fuel pumps and centrifugal coolant pumps. We need a talented individual in our Fluid Management Group at our Elyria, OH facility to fill the role of a Supervisor, Materials & Logistics. In this position, as a Materials Leader, you will be responsible for SIOP, Master Scheduling, Planning and Production Control to drive the development and implementation of a metrics driven, continuous improvement focused materials management function to driving best practices and principles in support of internal (fabrication, Assembly & Test)and external supply chain materials management. This position is accountable and responsible for development and execution of through SIOP process, the overall production master schedule, inventory control and material logistics processes that appropriately optimize resources, material flow methods and inventory accuracy to meet master schedule On-Time Delivery to support external customer expectations. The Materials Manager/Supervisor will be responsible for all component inventory levels and will be the plant liaison with all stakeholders for overall supply chain, both internal and external (Supply Chain) demand fulfillment / scheduling. In this role you'll be responsible for managing with value stream leadership, detail production scheduling, manufacturing capacity, make/buy evaluations, SP & KPI action planning, execution and reporting. Essential Job Functions: · Supervise production activity controls including, but not always limited to planning and releasing of orders through consumption based controls and/or MRP system to assure OTD to ship date is met. Core management to identify with VSM?s resolution of capacity constraints of the respective work centers/ value stream. Creation of production schedule(s) to assure efficient grouping of orders, reviewing lot sizing and order prioritization to effectively manage production resources. · Work with planning & operations to oversee the accurate completion of daily production status, i.e., ahead or behind to master schedule need dates and to ensure timely countermeasures are addressed through operations team. · Develop, establish and lead the Stores Planning team, being both mentor and coach to develop individual and team excellence. · Maintain and facilitate the accurate control and accountability of Inventory, Product, Production Flow, and Scheduling. · Coordinate with or lead Excess & Obsolete inventory data reporting, disposition, withdrawal and disposal processes with Supply Chain, Finance and Engineering as appropriate. · Provide data, reports and analysis as required to support Supply Chain, Finance and Corporate requests for information relative to E&O, inventory categorization and controls. · Develop and implement material logistic strategies that optimize the storage and flow of purchased and fabricated materials in support of Elyria manufacturing and inventory strategies. · Ensure that standard inventory control techniques and procedures are developed and implemented. · Engender a spirit of cooperation with manufacturing, purchasing, production management, finance, engineering, and other process owners throughout the order fulfillment chain to insure responsiveness to the customer. · Plan, coordinate and manage the performance of physical inventories if and when required to meet fiscal reporting requirements. · Manage the review, update and maintenance of all equipment and software required to effectively and efficiently receive, store and issue materials in support of Elyria operations. · Participate as functional owner of the Oracle Inventory module including the testing and validation of all associated patches and version upgrades. Proven management experience along with excellent organizational and process development/optimization skills. Depth of background in gathering /managing the process of moving products from design to manufacturing of systems delivered to our customer. Preferred Operations background, Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning (SIOP), Master Scheduling, Supply Chain, APICS certification, production planning · Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a wider Elyria team. Solid understanding of integrated production and inventory management techniques and processes. A customer oriented focus. Extensive computer skills in Excel, Access and word processing applications. · Ability: Proven ability to develop and execute action plans that achieve company goals. Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and motivate multifunctional teams in a dynamic environment. · Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in a business or materials related field or equivalent experience. · Eligibility Requirement: Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
