Supervisor, Quality


Job Responsibilities:
EFI Electronics by Schneider Electric, a leader in surge protection products, seeks a full-time Quality Supervisor. This position is accountable for supervising the work, people and results in assigned areas of production to inspect and evaluate the quality of manufactured products and parts. Responsible for identifying, analyzing, developing and implementing quality improvement programs. Investigates and analyzes problems, processes, products, and/or services to determine if they can be solved or enhanced. Processes and reports on all materials returned to the location. Plans the activities related to the inspection functions in order to meet company standards and methods. Prioritizes schedules based on product introduction and manufacturing schedules, maintaining a minimum turnaround time. Organizes and adjusts manpower to ensure location meets or exceeds monthly or quarterly goals. Analyze and diagnose parts, processes and equipment problems to expedite corrective action. Develops and implement training procedures for employees in the inspection operation such as drawings, prints, schematics and quality assurance standards. Supervise and perform production and/or quality control audits. Maintains liaison with quality control and/or suppliers and customers to assure control of quality of incoming and outgoing items. Conducts vendor evaluation audits to determine if qualified compliance of external specifications and standards are being met. Support the Design Engineering department with quality plans for new product releases. Coordinate the disposition of rejected materials.



Requires a BS in Engineering with 4-6 years of experience in the electronics field or in a related industry. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Must demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail. Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 QMS and Lean Six Sigma is required.
