This position is available in Customer Service Training Development with South Carolina Electric & Gas (SCE&G) in Columbia, SC. Primary responsibilities are coordination and oversight of training material development used for educating employees via classroom training as well as coordination of efforts to develop and implement continuing education programs. This position will supervise a team of trainers who primarily develop the training materials for a wide variety of audiences that includes classroom, on the job training, or one-on-one training. This team may also deliver highly specialized training to smaller segments of the user groups supported as well as assist in delivery of segments of the new hire classes. As well, the successful candidate will work closely with supervisors of the Training Delivery teams to ensure successful implementation of programs. Other responsibilities include serving as systems experts during the design phase of system enhancements, execution of test plans and the development of corresponding training materials. The selected candidate will interact extensively with the Contact Centers, Business Offices, Customer Service Operations, Marketing, Business Systems Management, and multiple Information Systems Technology (IST) application areas. This position will also be responsible for performance management and development of their employees by assessing their strengths and areas of improvement and providing assistance, coaching and training opportunities to further develop their skills as professional training developers.
Requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 5+ years experience in training development or delivery and supervisory experience.
