Supervisor of Operations
Brink’s U.S., a division of Brink’s, Incorporated, is the premiere provider of armored car transportation, ATM servicing, currency and coin processing, document destruction and other value added services to financial institutions, retailers and other commercial and government entities. The company has a proud history of providing growth and advancement opportunities for its employees. We have a challenging opportunity for an experienced Supervisor of Operations. This position reports directly to the Assistant Branch Manager/Branch Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the secure, safe, efficient and profitable route and branch operations, and will coordinate and supervise the operation efficiently, while maintaining positive customer and employee relations. The Supervisor of Operations will lead by example by ensuring that the branch policies and procedures are enforced at all times. The successful Supervisor of Operations will use his or her decision-making skills in planning the work for each shift. At the beginning of the day it is required that the Supervisor of Operations prioritize the work that must be processed that day, schedule the staff to meet work demands, and distribute the work before the staff’s arrival times. · Assist branch management in controlling the daily operations and maintaining profitability of the branch. May act on the behalf of the Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager in their absence on operational issues. · Supervise/Train the Assistant Supervisors to take over in your absence. · Monitor the efficiency of each route on a daily basis by the use of time standards and customer response. · Monitor scheduling of employees and trucks and assist in efficient routing of crews. · Directly monitor the dispatch and vault activities during checkout. · Direct Route Supervisors within the department in all aspects of the operations and intercede when necessary. · Report and resolve technical issues through the Help Desk in a timely manner (obtain ticket number(s) to be reported in daily work status e-mail). · Ensure the staff follows the guidelines outlined in the General Security Regulations (GSR). · Report any operational deficiencies to management and other departments when applicable. · Respond to research issues within 24 hours of receipt. · Assist in providing quotes and service times and ensure maintenance of good customer service. · Monitor branch and truck security, handling street inspections, enforcing vault procedures and firearms training and procedure. · Interview and hire truck personnel and maintain proper hiring procedures. Assist with proper handling of employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and terminations of employees. · Ensure the training and development of new and existing employees including truck and administrative staff by the use of training films, formal classroom and on-the-job training. · Assist with human resource matters and ensure good employee relations. · Assist with month-end reports. · Other projects as assigned. · Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D.; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred · Minimum of 2-3 years operations supervisory experience; 3+ years supervisory experience preferred · Comprehensive knowledge of secure logistics, coin and/or currency processing operations · Excellent customer service and relations skills · Good comprehension of finance and budgeting · Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills · Excellent employee relations skills with a team player orientation · Excellent staff development, leadership, and decision-making skills · Must be willing to work in an armed environment and able to qualify for a firearm permit · Solid work history and credit record · Strong ethics and integrity If you have the background and integrity we require and are looking for a challenging opportunity, we hope you will consider employment with Brink’s U.S. Brink’s provides an outstanding total compensation package for this position.
