Summary of Position:
The Supply Chain Commodity Manager is responsible for the sourcing activities to support Woodclad and Pultrusion new product launches; for identifying alternate sources of supply to help drive cost reductions, working capital improvements and quality enhancements; and for managing the supply chain for the commodity on a daily basis, which includes providing supply forecasts at a detailed level, managing inventory levels at location levels, placing PO’s to support location production requirements while providing a concierge level support to the fabrication locations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· Lead strategic sourcing activities for wood commodities
· Develop forecast model for pultruded lineals and provide liaison betwixt production plant and fabrications plants resulting in effective inventory management and minimal working capital needed to support requirements
· Develop cost-effective, efficient, supply chain for wood components to support regional manufacturing facilities
· Develop effective communication channel for various functional teams (Corporate & Location) working on NPD activities for this commodity
· Conduct all sourcing activities in professional and ethical manner while demonstrating the Milgard business values and Philosophy in all personal interactions
· Develop replenishment levels and strategy for fabrication facilities for pultrusion and wood componentry needed to support customer demand

Experience Required
10+ years of progressively responsible purchasing, inventory planning, and sourcing experience in manufacturing environment
Education/Certification
· Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Supply Chain
· APICS certification desirable
