About the Job

Manufacturing company is looking for a Supply Chain Manager.  Ideal candidate will have the following:

·         Prior supervisory experience of supply chain personnel, purchasing, buying, planning, procurement, forecasting or similar

·         Kaizen, lean, six sigma or similar

·         Desired heavy industry manufacturing such as automobile manufacturing, industrial equipment, aerospace manufacturing, commercial equipment manufacturing, metal product manufacturing, machinery equipment manufacturing, agricultural or construction machinery manufacturing,  or similar

·         Bachelor’s in Engineering, Industrial, Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain or similar

·         Preferred Masters or MBA or similar

·         Management background in production, purchasing, inventory control, materials, shipping, receiving, warehousing, or similar

·         Desired APICS or CPIM

·         Materials management, master scheduling, cost savings

·         Strong customer service, negotiation, contract management skills

·         MRP, supply and demand analysis, Forecast and demand planning, ERP

Position will:

·         Manage supply chain activities to include procurement, purchasing, planning, forecasting

·         Apply supply chain strategies that influence company goals

·         Manage selection and development of supplier base

·         Develop supply chain strategies to support the business and customers

·         Implement procedures and systems for supply chain activities

·         Identify potential suppliers for goods and services

·         Analyze forecast, MRP, ERP data to provide timely procurement of materials and goods for manufacturing

·         Maintain metrics to measure performance of the purchasing function

·         Collaborate with Procurement on long term supplier selection

·         Manage overall supply chain activities including buyers, planners, and forecast

·         Diagnose shortages and implement corrective strategies

·         Implement supply chain initiatives

·         Establish best practices for supply base, procurement, material flow and inventory management

·         Review replenishment targets and implement replenishment methods

·         Conduct inventory analysis to track levels across value streams
