Position Summary            

Leading industrial products manufacturer serving industrial markets is seeking a Supply Chain Manager. The successful candidate will oversee and direct the supply chain operations in a variety of areas. Position is located 2 hours due West of Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities

·         Participate in the creation and execution of long and short term supply chain strategies

·         Develop and execute sourcing strategies

·         Develop, optimize and manage supply chain partnerships

·         ID secondary suppliers as needed

·         Drive material productivity through continuous improvement of supply chain efficiency

·         Develop long and short term capacity plan

·         Maintain supplier performance statistics

·         Develop tactical methods to resolve material issues

·         Develop monthly supply chain plans

·         Utilize best practices in supply chain management

·         Support new product development with supply chain services

·         Represent supply chain on project teams

·         Reduce material variances by efficient use of materials, root cause analysis of scrap material and adherence to materials management processes

·         Travel up to 25%

·         Work and promote teamwork in accordance with corporate standards for safety, environmental, quality, continuous improvement, communication, internal controls, etc.

·         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications    

·         BS Business with Supply Chain oversight

·         5+ years relevant industry experience, preferably in a lean manufacturing environment

·         APICS and other professional certifications

·         Strong knowledge of supply chain management, manufacturing or operations principles

·         Experience developing tactical business plans utilizing sourcing an logistics experience

·         Inventory control system literacy

·         History of making critical decisions in a timely manner

·         Excellent negotiation skills and track history

·         Excellent problem solving skills

·         Flexible and team oriented
