Manages ongoing relationships and ensures high level of performance with critical / strategic suppliers. Acts as owner of commercial relationship with key suppliers and is the key driver to facilitate resolution of all quality, delivery, commercial, manufacturing, and NPI issues impacting performance of assigned suppliers. Develops and implements commodity / sourcing strategies to achieve lowest total costs, effective asset management, continuous quality improvement, delivery, and cycle time performance improvement that supports both SIS Strategic as well as Tactical Operations Plans. Evaluates market conditions in order to control costs, makes recommendations and implements cost reduction projects. Assigned suppliers will typically have large spend ($10-20M) and provide critical and/or highly complex products to SIS.

*Four year degree required

10+ years minimum experience in commodity / supply chain / procurement leadership with increasing levels of responsibility. Experience in related activities in aerospace may be an acceptalbe subsititute (ie. Operations Mgmt, Program Mgmt, etc.).

*Certified Lean Leader or Six Sigma Green Belt - Preferred

*Problem Solving experience within Manufacturing and/or Quality area - preferred

*Superior and proven program management skills to develop and drive project plans to completion

*Personnel leadership and organization management skills

*Negotiating

*Problem Solving

*Numeracy skills- financial analysis + business acumen - must be data driven

*Ability to work effectively with a variety of cultures and people styles / personalities

*Good Communication skills

*Ability to handle multiple High Profile Suppliers and priorities with minimal supervision

*Ability to organize and lead cross-location and/or cross-functional teams

*Strong strategic visioning skills being able to develop a long term strategy and lead a team to execute against this strategy

*Excellent oral, written and presentation skills

*Excellent Business Acumen- financial analysis, business case preparation, NPV, ROI, and data-driven approach
