The role of the Supply Chain New Product Initiative (NPI) Manager is to serve as the supply chain project manager for new product initiatives to ensure readiness of the supply chain to support market introduction of new products. This includes coordinating the efforts of supply chain resources to deliver projects according to the schedule and costs defined in the project plan.


 


 


What we offer


Serves as primary point of contact within Supply Chain for new product initiatives (primary contact for Marketing, R&D, Purchasing, etc.)
Steers and communicates all new item initiatives within the North American Supply Chain and with global Supply Chain NPI teams.
Drives Supply Chain resources and new item initiatives forward. Anticipates obstacles and proactively removes barriers. Sets the example by tenaciously pursuing goals and setting high performance standards.
Owns Supply Chain risk analysis of new item initiatives and provides mitigation options to project leaders and Supply Chain leadership.
Works with the Supply Chain finance team to develop and validate cost of goods estimates for new item initiatives using the cost estimating process.
Represents Supply Chain functions in the weekly brand project meetings, where all new item projects are reviewed, issues highlighted and discussed for resolution.
Presents new item projects to the Supply Chain Leadership Team (SCLT) and provides the North American Supply Chain recommendation to be considered in global go/no-go decision meetings (LMC/BMC).
Responsible for providing the timing of Supply Chain activities and milestones to be included in the project schedule and for ensuring milestone timing is met.
Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization verbally and in writing. Effective in communicating to senior levels (GM, VP, SVP) of the Henkel organization without support.
Has a thorough knowledge of the Henkel Inno Gate system and is accountable for Supply Chain inputs for projects.
Works with Production Steering, Packaging and Planning to develop capital investment estimates for new item projects.
Supports definition of optimal production scenarios for new product initiatives (in conjunction with Production Steering, Logistics etc.)
Collaborates with global NPI teams for global initiatives.

Qualification:

Who we are looking for


Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred
10+ years of work experience, with 5+ years in roles with project management responsibilities within a manufacturing or supply chain organization
Strong leadership skills with established experience managing others
Experience working in a manufacturing plant preferably in a supervisory role  
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, high complexity and large projects simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
Technical skills — MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
eCommerce experience preferred
