Supply Delivery Driver

Summary: Drives truck over established route to deliver orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

q       Drives truck to deliver customer orders.

q       Records delivery information on a delivery record.

q       Listens to and reports service complaints.  Resolves issues when appropriate.

q       Places stock on shelves or racks.

q       Loads and unloads truck.

q       Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.

q       Cleans inside of truck.

q       Performs routine maintenance on truck.

q       Other duties may be assigned.

Drivers License:  The employee must have a valid driver’s license in the state which he/she seeks employment and a good driving record.

Education and/or Experience:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear and push and pull over 150 pounds occasionally. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 75 pounds.   The employee must be able to pass as DOT physical examination.

Work Environment:  While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
