Description
Qualifying candidate for the Supply Technician located in Iraq will be responsible for data entry at the sites in support of System Accountability (SDS/AWRDS) and support the distribution of maintenance equipment in the AOR retrograde process in Iraq and will accept 100% Automatic RESET Induction (ARI) items from 22 Brigade Combat Teams (BCT) and 5 Combat Aviation Brigades (CAV). Teams will accept accountability of theater property rolling and non-rolling stock equipment from redeploying units at their location or at the fixed sites.

Required Tasks:
•Provides technical assistance in the processing of supply transaction regarding the store inventory to insure material requirements for short, long-range, special, and priority projects are met.
•Directs preparation of supply requisitions for approved work orders.
•Reviews listings concerning status of store stock and bench stock items.
•Maintains contact with zone supervisors as to material status and actual or potential problems.
•Provides assistance to zone supervisors in the development of bench stock levels.
•Searches computer files concerning on hand assets to identify errors in inventory and selects corrective procedures to reconcile records.
•Performs continual review over the material inventory and update computer files as required.
•Monitors requisitions in the buyer's area to ensure purchases are being accomplished within the proper time frames.
•Initiates actions to correct receiving errors and then verifies that materials are received.
•Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Experience
Apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty, experience in the Army 92A Series MOS or equivalent. Must have demonstrated proficiency in use of Standard Depot System (SDS), SARSS and AWRDS within the last 5 years. Must have 1-3 years of experience (With-in the last five years) with receipt and processing of equipment, cost accounting transactions, receive, inspect, inventory, preserve, pack, account for, configure/reconfigure, modify, and issue equipment and components. This also includes minimum Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) if/when storage time is necessary. Accurately recorded, operate and maintain the formal Government accountable records, maintain asset visibility of these assets utilizing SAMS/SARSS/SDS/AWRDS/PBUSE/WEBUIT as applicable. Must maintain a current state driver’s license and be proficient in warehouse Material Handling Equipment operations. Must be able to pass a physical exam due to the harsh living and working conditions. Must also pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
Special Requirements/Certifications
Must possess or be able to obtain SECRET Security Clearance.

Physical Requirements

Shop environment with hazardous equipment, moving MHE, obstacles and high volume activity including unrestricted ability to stoop, bend, kneel, walk, have full dexterity, and correctable vision. Outside work in hot and cold or wet weather is often required. Work environment often has fumes or airborne particles. Noise level is loud. Protective devices are required to avoid injury.
