Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, locally installed software, computer peripherals, cell phones and network connectivity (LAN/WAN/wireless) for Windows XP desktop/laptops. Responsible for asset management and timely lease replacements of systems within assigned area. Document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems as required. Respond to telephone, email and general requests for technical support timely and with quality.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
2-5 years general PC support, including troubleshooting basic IP connectivity issues, Windows XP experience, and Microsoft Professional Office suite
Possess strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with customers and team members of all levels
Ability to adapt and work in a progressive environment with new systems, methodologies and processes
Capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision and be willing to learn new skills
Must have valid driver's license; travel to supported sites and on-call services required
Working knowledge of IBM and/or Dell hardware (desktop and laptop) a plus
Strong knowledge of VPN, Outlook and Symantec Antivirus and experience with backup software (e.g. Veritas) preferred
Working knowledge of wireless technology desired
A+, Network +, MCP, MCDST/MCSE certifications experience a plus
