Position Description:

Responsible for daily operations of the Invasive Cath Lab and Observation unit. Responsible for working with Human Resource Department to recruit, hire, and discipline staff. Responsible for all aspects of Cardiology inventory. Works with Physician/Staff/Units to ensure efficient/effective flow of patients through the units. Works directly with the Administrative Director/ Medical Director and Operations Manager in the Development of an operational budget. Responsible for bringing new technology into the all areas working with vendors/MD. Implements and directs training for all staff on new technology and equipment. Reports monthly variance to Director, as well as ensuring reporting of stats, variance and budget reports. Oversees all equipment is covered with current valid warranty contracts. Coordinates new vendor contracts, working with legal department and vendors to facilitate contracts. Direct and implements education and training for the Cath Lab and Observation Unit. Works directly with administrative director/Medical director and Operations in compiling a capital needs list, as well as assuring submission of quotes and completed capital request form by the designated deadline.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree required. Graduate of a CV /RT program or graduate of Registered Nurse program or Bachelors degree in a related health care field required. Prefer graduate of RCIS program or Certified/Registered Radiology Tech program or Graduate of BSN program or graduate of Bachelors in healthcare/business. One to two years budgetary/finance experience required. Three to five years experience of being knowledgeable in operations of Cardiac Cath Lab; prior demonstrated leadership skills, interpersonal skills and interdisciplinary skills; knowledge of computers systems incorporating troubleshooting process, procedural knowledge base and knowledge of patient care continuum; three to five years prior supervisory experience required.
