Position Description

Supv Maint Ops Center

Primary responsibilities include the following for assigned shifts;

  • Supervise staff with increasing responsibility for their assigned programs and daily telecoms.

  • Develop; manage worldwide spares supply/support for MS inventory requirements.

  • Supervision of AOG Desks to ensure sales growth and timely support of 24/7 operation.

  • Supervision of planning staff ensuring spares availability, shortage management, spares expediting contract classification and specialized daily, weekly, monthly reporting requirements.

  • Initial/re-current technical/administrative training for shift staff.

  • Monitors and ensures completion of all maintenance actions assigned during shift at 40+ worldwide line stations.

  • Awareness of financial and contractual impact pertaining to shipping/repairing/loaning of MS inventory.

  • Technical/administrative issues pass down and closure between shifts.

  • Creates/formalizes all work instructions and procedures within the MOC.

  • Oversees and reviews all work instructions and procedures for MS field personnel.

  • Reviews and provides recommendations to AMMs/Work Cards/Preventative Maintenance Programs.

  • Signs off on any parts/tooling/supply movement or purchases.

  • Attends weekly Manager's meetings for any updates/changes to MS policy/procedures.

  • Ensure program compliance to MS Maintenance Contracts.

  • Review and ensure end of month UFMR reporting is accurate and complete to Finance on time.

  • Reviews contracts prior to start date for accuracy, requirements and resources. 

  • Conducts service readiness meetings ensuring MS Operations is prepared to support contractual obligations.


MANAGEMENT: ($, employees, and other resources managed)
Directly responsible for personnel and actions on assigned shifts.
Responsible for coordination and maintenance of a $40.m global inventory.
Responsible for scheduling 200+ people in the field to maximize manpower at 40+ global line stations
 
COMMUNICATIONS: (key communications contacts and level of persuasion required)
Interfaces with MS mid level and senior level management on a daily basis.
Interfaces with customers on a daily basis.
Represents PAC at MS Quarterly Business Reviews in front of customers.
Represents MOC on internal/external conference calls.
Ability to interface with technical field personnel both internally and externally.
Proven communication (internal/external) skills
Experience giving presentations in front of audiences of 10 people or greater.
Ability to interpret/understand technical documents
 
PROBLEM-SOLVING:(complexity of problems, creativity and other problem-solving requirements)
Ability to make quick and decisive decisions in regards to handling problem aircraft.
Ability to perform trend analysis (linear regression/poison distribution/gauss)
Ability to coordinate and match up tooling/manpower/ground time to fix chronic aircraft.
Ability to basic trouble shoot computer hardware and software preferred.
 
KNOW-HOW: (education, experience and other knowledge requirements)
Airframe background preferred (2-3 yrs).
Program/Project Management experience preferred, 3 years minimum.
5 Years Maintenance Planning or Maintenance Technician experience preferred, 3 years minimum.
Previous supervisory/lead experience preferred, 3-5 yrs.
BA in Business or Technical field or equivalent work experience required.
Knowledge or training on logbook sign off procedures preferred.
Knowledge of JARs and FARs preferred.
