Position Description:
- Gather and analyze information, applying appropriate underwriting techniques necessary to make an accurate evaluation of credit quality and acceptability of the risk
- Prepare and conduct marketing activities within assigned territory to promote the development of new business
- Manage producers within territory
- Prepare underwriting submissions, making recommendations and/or decisions within established authority limits and;
Education & Experience:
College degree in Business with successful completion of courses in Finance, Management, Accounting and Marketing, or equivalent work experience in a related field. Three to five years in the Surety business preferred.
Key Competencies:
Strong oral and written communication skills needed. Organization and prioritization required to meet multiple demands and commitments.
Preferred Technical Skills:
Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
