The Operating Rooms at UWMC have outstanding opportunities for multiple Surgical Technologists. Under direction of the Charge Nurse and RN3, these individuals will prepare operating room for surgical procedures; obtain, assemble, and arrange sterile instruments and supplies used for surgical procedures; perform scrub role; and maintain patient safety throughout perioperative care. Use effective communication skills to enhance teamwork and customer service. Be flexible and proactive to support efficient and effective surgical environment.

Requirements: Completion of a Surgical Technologist program AND one year of experience assisting clinical staff in a variety of operative procedures in an operating room environment OR equivalent education/experience.
Legal Requirement - Registered by the State of Washington as a Surgical Technologist, or licensed in the State of Washington as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse or Physician. ** Please note your license number and expiration date on your resume** Desired: Experience in the following specialties preferred:
Cardiac Neurology Otolaryngology Orthopedics General Surgery Gynecology Urology
Experience in cardiac surgery strongly preferred. Experience in an academic medical center also preferred.
Condition of Employment: The Operating Rooms at UWMC have multiple opportunities for both full time and part time Surgical Technologists. This candidate bank will be used to find outstanding candidates for all current Surgical Technologist openings.
The hours and shifts may vary, to include weekends and holiday shifts.
