Position Overview

The Sustaining Engineer controls the design, materials or construction, function, manufacture and operation of existing products as well as product line extensions/modifications that are required to meet customer needs.

Duties

·         Provides technical support to manufacturing to develop and improve manufacturing processes;

·         Makes necessary design changes as required to improve product performance, reliability, cost or ease of manufacture;

·         Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop existing products that are responsive to customer needs and market opportunities;

·         Provides technical expertise and support to customers;

·         Creates and maintains bills of materials, drawing and design documentation.

     Additional Position Requirements - Ability to work in both office and plant conditions

            Technical Skills: 

·         Engineering and design software (SolidWorks, Mathcad, etc.)

·         ERP Software – Movex highly desirable

Education:  B.S. Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution

Level of Experience:  Mid-level position.  Engineering-In-Training (EIT) – Professional Engineer  candidate preferred.
