Major Duties and Responsibilities:

MTSI is seeking a logistics manager to plan and execute logistics product support for a DoD acquisition program.   Duties include interfacing with operational units, evaluating maintenance plans and proposals, drafting reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) requirements, and assessing RAM test plans, reports and data. 

Tasks to be performed include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Develop sustainment concept
• Track squawks and report issues to customer
• Develop and track maintenance statistics (how long components work (MTTF, MTTR), PMI dates, break dates, etc)
• Work with Vendor to resolve issues
• Develop and maintain spare inventory
• Identify spare storage location
• Prepare sustainment budget
• Act as primary interface between unit and vendor for sustainment issues (help desk)
• Develop and execute training plan
• Develop support and test equipment list
• Procure and maintain support and test equipment
• Pack, Ship and Transport equipment CONUS and OCONUS
• Serve as COMSEC custodian

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Acquisition sustainment and/or logistics background and experience working on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated experience managing issues, developing requirements, and testing reliability, maintainability, and availability for DoD weapon systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the DoD acquisition process.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge and experience assessing and evaluating manufacturability.
• 12 years experience

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science (e.g. Reliability Engineering) degree or equivalent experience.
• Masters Degree in engineering or business administration desired

Clearance Requirements:

• TOP SECRET security clearance with an in scope SSBI required.
