Switchboard Operator
JOB SUMMARY: Utilizing our newest state of-the-art voice communication systems, the Switchboard Operator will provide a high level of customer service when dealing with all internal and external customers, project a professional image, and develop a positive working relationship with all customers. - Answer all incoming calls in a prompt and professional manner.
- Serve as the back up for the Front Desk Receptionist during lunches, breaks, vacations, sick time and holidays.
- Have a complete understanding of all Visitor and Security Protocol.
- Project a professional image by having a neat appearance and exceptional customer service skills.
- Communicate all phone system problems immediately to the supervisor and the Telecommunications Analyst for prompt resolution.
- Ensure operator’s information is kept up to date at all times; including associate listings, quick reference guides, store listings, etc. Communicate all changes immediately to the group.
QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 years experience
- Ability to type (35 WPM
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of the company structure
