This entry-level position will be part of the User Account Management team and will perform on-going user account and permissions management for the entire company. This includes processing work orders (tickets) in an efficient, accurate and timely manner as well as seeking ways to improve work processes and procedures through both manual and automated means (e.g., scripting, programming).
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform daily User Account Management duties - e.g., new user setups, transfers, terms, 30 days password violation notifications, archives, etc. according to the operational guidelines and SOX controls.
· Maintain user entry, ongoing access modifications and exit procedures within Active Directory and other LDAP structures.
· Develop and document changes in User Account Management processes, automating manual steps by developing scripts or programs.
· Receive and resolve IT service Desk cases submitted by employees and contractors.
· Propose and implement ways to improve the User Account Management process by collaborating with other IT teams and Human resources.
· Ensure that any changes, technical or non technical, at the UAM level which may impact the users are communicated to the EUS teams and other IT teams and business when appropriate.
· Work with the other IT teams (Windows, Unix, Applications, Network) to ensure UAM staff is well equipped/informed to support any new applications or services.
· Support strategic goals of the company and keep the manager informed of any developments.
· Complete other tasks/projects assigned by the manager.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
· Ability to rapidly learn to manage user identities and accounts across multiple systems following corporate guidelines.
· Confidence and desire to be a "one stop" contact for all users on User Account administrations issues, and always to be a positive, helpful interface for IT staff in need of assistance. If you cannot assist, you are there to direct them to someone who can.
· Superior ability to communicate, both in writing and orally.
· Demonstrated operational discipline and thoroughness in most/all aspects of his/her work – e.g., status reporting, documentation, following process and procedure.
· Demonstrated ability to plan and work to an identified set of priorities.
· Commitment to the IT values.
· Ability to write scripts and programs (batch, Microsoft Power Shell, Perl, etc.) to automate routine UAM tasks.
· Basic understanding of Windows system administration (Active Directory, DNS, IIS, DHCP, etc.).
Education Requirements:
· College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Other Requirements:
· This position requires occasional travel to other data centers in the USA and various international locations.
· Travel will be on the order of 10% of working time.
