Monster’s Global Technology Infrastructure Team is the heart-beat of providing exceptional technical service to support the Monster website and those who depend upon it to seek jobs or fill employment positions.
The Global Technology Infrastructure Team proactively supports, maintains, improves and enhances the Monster production infrastructure around the globe. This position demands innovative thinking, proactive outlook and a strong desire to think outside the box. The ideal candidates will challenge the status quo and bring a sense of urgency and awareness of all that is occurring in the world of Monster.
· Administering activities related to the operations and monitoring of the Monster’s networks, systems, critical business systems, revenue generating systems and websites
· Working with the business groups to engineer new solutions for critical business applications.
· Working with the Global Operations team to improve and enhance our core competencies and infrastructure technologies.
· Performing Level 2 & 3 troubleshooting and support expanding our ability to respond quickly and provide you an easily recognized and rewarding career path.
· Serve as a member of the “go to” team applying your expertise and experience with a focus on Security and Administration of a very large Global Enterprise environment.
· You will work very closely with the other groups within Global Operations to resolve problems, deploy and release new products and create solutions to provide world class service, solutions and support.
· Suggest, design, build, implement and deploy new technologies to help Monster achieve its strategic business goals.
· Keep current with emerging technologies and recognize the potential value they bring to Monster.
· Mentor, lead and help expand skill sets within the Global Operations team.
· Must be willing to listen and HEAR business requirements and translate those requirements into technology solutions.
· Support not only the infrastructure, but share in supporting specific business applications.
Job Requirements:
· Proven experience in the field of Security as it relates to the Windows Operating System and its integration in a Global Enterprise
· Must possess exceptional organizational, written & verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as a consistently contributing member of the team.
· Expert knowledge at a Systems Administrator’s level, specifically of Windows server infrastructure in a web-centric production environment with solid IIS knowledge is required. Minimum of two years.
· Demonstrated proficiencies at being able to apply advanced troubleshooting techniques and methodologies.
· Knowledge of server system hardware components with two years hands on practical application.
· Must be able to communicate and coordinate technical issues with vendor support organizations as well as internal resources.
· Thorough knowledge of IT environments, technologies, system infrastructure and their platforms is required.
· Knowledge of SANS, specifically EMC platforms is a strong plus.
· Working knowledge of networking and Cisco equipment is a strong plus.
· ITIL knowledge, experience or certification is an “over the top” and tremendous advantage.
· Must have the ability to work in a highly visible fast paced environment with minimal supervision and major responsibility.
· BS in Computer Science or work related experience.
· Microsoft Windows Certification is an advantage
· Experience with Dell, HP and IBM servers
· VMWare Virtual Center / ESX server a plus
