St. Luke’s Boise location is seeking a System Contracting Coordinator who will work closely with the Manager of System Contracting, participating in all Third Party Payer negotiations and will be the key responsible individual on select payer contracts. The Contracting Coordinator will assist in contracting by providing intellectual talent on payer and reimbursement strategies as they relate to the health care sector. This position will interact with and provide reimbursement guidance to each facility’s executive leadership team.
Minimum Requirements
1) Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field is desirable.
2) Minimum of five years experience in contracting and managed health care.
3) Demonstrate a strong understanding of reimbursement methodologies with potential impacts and benefits they offer to facilities and physicians.
4) Possess solid knowledge of billing and payment systems, statistical and financial analysis, budget preparation, cost analysis, reimbursement and productivity measurement.
5) Strong knowledge of Federal, State and local regulations governing St. Luke’s Health System activities as well as Federal and Idaho regulations regarding payment for health care.
6) Human resource management skills, specifically those related to managing staff across organization boundaries and function areas within the organization.
