Job Description:







As a team member, the Systems Integration Technologist II shall work with a group of Windows and UNIX System Administrators/Engineers in a matrix organization to maintain and enhance an existing computer network infrastructure. The emphasis will be on AIX and other UNIX variants.

Your responsibilities shall include support for a heterogeneous mix of computing hardware and software platforms, including servers and workstations, and numerous COTS and custom software applications.







You shall be responsible for troubleshooting complex problems with root cause analysis. You shall communicate problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to customers and management. You shall create and follow standard process, plan effectively to complete tasks on schedule, and clearly document results.







Tasks shall be varied and range from performing the full range of break/fix support, supporting recurring Operations functions, engineering upgrades and implementing new systems, to supporting process definition and implementation. You shall work without appreciable direction and shall exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments.







This position may require occasional travel.







Systems Administrators at this level are expected to perform under general supervision. Generally, incumbents possess 2 to 5 years of applicable professional work experience.







Basic Qualifications - Required Experience, Skills:







Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience, plus two or more years of related work experience.





* Requires 2 or more years experience supporting IBM AIX (4+ years of Solaris experience can be substituted)



* Requires 2 or more years experience with DNS, TCP/IP or LDAP Administration and troubleshooting



* Requires 2 or more years hands-on experience with server class hardware



* Requires 1+ hands-on experience with server virtualization technologies (AIX VIO servers, DLPAR, SUN Containers, VMWare, etc.)



* Requires 1+ years experience conducting and/or participating in technical review meetings with internal and external representatives



* Requires demonstrated experience accurately documenting and succinctly presenting technical information to a variety of audiences



* Must be willing to travel occasionally as required.







US CITIZENSHIP and the ability to obtain a secret security clearance is required.







Desired Experience, Skills, Knowledge:

* Experience with AIX System Administration



* Knowledge of network infrastructure, enterprise-class client/server architectures, and high-speed/high- volume data storage environments



* Knowledge of information security requirements



* Familiarity with performance benchmarking and reporting



* Specific familiarity with WebLogic, Oracle, and Tivoli Storage Manager products is a plus



* Experience using Microsoft Project, Access, and Visio



* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills



* Must have a strong commitment to process and an understanding of Configuration Management (CM) principles



* Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency
