About the Job
C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. is the second-largest food wholesaler and 12th largest private company in the nation. Founded in 1918, C&S provides distribution services to supermarkets, retail stores and military bases. 2008 was our best year in our 90 year history.
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the integrity and security of the enterprise’s Windows and Linux servers supporting the various operating units of the company.
Qualified candidates must have:
• Technical Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent Systems experience can be substituted.
• 3 - 5 years with degree. 7-8 years without degree.
• 3 or more years experience in a large Windows user environment.
• Exchange Server 2000/2003 required.
• Administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.
• Exhaustive knowledge of Active Directory,
• Intel server architecture and TCP/IP communications.
• Strong knowledge of terminal services and/or Citrix.
• Past application upgrades at the Server level.
Other Desired Experience:
• Networking, telecom, software development, or helpdesk preferred.
• Above average attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Contributes to system design decisions.
• Decides technical solutions to break/fix scenarios.
• Contributes to project technical direction decisions.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be able to take part in a shared weekly on-call rotation.
• Excellent team collaboration skills.
• Project management experience from a team member standpoint.
• MCSE certification highly desired.
