Maintain maximum reliability of the computing environment for all users, both internal and external.




 




Candidates should be familiar with providing managed services to seven remote branches, in addition to the Corporate HQ office. He/she should also be able to coordinate tech support to remote branches in case of hardware failure or if onsite service is needed and the problem can not be fixed via telephone.




 




Maintain adequate levels of network, server, and application security to prevent unauthorized access to corporate information. Experience with firewalls and authentication at an intermediate level is required. Expert experience (4+ years) with Windows Server 2003 and Citrix server.




 




Intermediate level of network troubleshooting and cable tracing required.




 




Enforce all corporate security policies in effect.




 




Maintain adequate, timely, and secure data backup to insure the recovery of any lost data.




 




Intermediate level of experience with storage systems such as SAN and NAS.




 




Insure that there are maintenance plans in place for every point of failure in the computing platform.




 




Assist all computer users in the effective use of the system, resolving any problems/issues that impede the user’s access.




 




Plan/execute a proactive training program covering all computing tools.




 




Plan, test, train, and implement all hardware/software upgrades necessitated by the Company.




 




Advanced software experience with Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista, and ERP Systems to include Fox Pro (D-Tec used for finance, purchasing, sales and inventory control/management).




 




In depth experience administering operating systems in support of an "N-tier" application.




 




Maintain hardware/software standards, compliance, and configuration, including system upgrades and enhancements.




 




Perform any wiring changes necessary to accommodate employee additions or moves.




 




Upgrade and manage the in-house telephone and computer system for effective reliability and utilization. Experience with Cisco Communication Manager Business Edition & Cisco IP phones a plus. Experience with VOIP phone systems required.




 




Network & Telecom – LAN/WAN maintenance and systems security.




 




Purchase hardware/software as necessary, and approved, to maintain a reliable, efficient computing environment.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

Major or Specialty Area:

Computers, IT or related field

5+ years experience in a department of one, with varied tasks and responsibilities.  Cisco Certification a plus
