Systems Administrator

Location: Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Description

  • The qualified candidate will work closely with senior LAN Administrators in supporting LAN environment.
  • The position requires attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions by fellow lead LAN administrator.
  • Candidate must be willing to work flexible hours to complete tasks that cannot be done during normal business hours.
  • Will be required to work weekends when necessary.
  • Candidate must have ability to work through issues associated with LAN configuration, software and hardware.
  • Will require experience with network architectures, server hardware/software installation, configuration, and support.
  • Candidate will be required to install new server, in addition to upgrade existing servers and applications.
  • Will be required to monitor daily backups; including periodic audits.
  • Will be required to monitor infrastructure availability, performance issues or degradation to LAN environment and meet service-level agreements.
  • Will be required to document all changes, issues, and problems in LAN environment and meet LAN audit requirements.
  • Candidate will be required to perform monthly/quarterly LAN vulnerability scanning as appropriate, and remediate results.
  • Candidate will be required to work with various third party appliance vendors in support LAN environment for content filtering, security information management, database and security monitoring, internal and external vulnerability scanning, etc.
