Systems Analyst III
| Job description | Responsibilities for this position include: - Perform RF systems engineering with an interdisciplinary team of subject matter of professional experts.
- Perform technical and planning tasks to characterize how a system will operate in the modern electromagnetic battlefield environment.
- Testing includes intra-system electromagnetic compatibility, external RF, electromagnetic environment, spectrum compatibility, and electronic attack (jamming), as well as others.
- Other requirements include collection, reduction, and analysis of data necessary to characterize the performance of complex systems with regard to radio frequency issues.
- Position may require overseas deployment for limited times.
Specialty areas include RF engineering theory, concepts, and performance; design and development of RF testing methodologies; and programming and operation of RF automated instrumentation and test equipment. | EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS | - Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance within one year of hire.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineer or Physics with RF emphasis.
- Two years experience in RF or related electronics or electrical field.
- Experience with MATLAB and/or LabView.
- Experience utilizing test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, and arbitrary waveform generators.
- Experience conducting and/or evaluating RF measurements on high power transmitters and amplifiers such as power, frequency and modulations, and intermod product characterization.
- Experience conducting and/or evaluating RF measurements on receiver systems such as receiver sensitivity, adjacent channel isolation, and acceptance bandwidth characterization.
- Strong desire and ability to quickly learn local test methodologies and goals.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team oriented, rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work long hours for extended periods of time, often with short notice.
- Ability to work in severe outdoor weather conditions.
