Systems Analyst / Programmer A

BASIC JOB FUNCTION: 


 


Reporting to the Senior Systems Analyst, the Systems Analyst / Programmer A will perform complex web based applications development, testing and debugging. Under general direction, he/she is expected to use sound judgment and attention to detail in interpreting directions and decision making to complete development activities. The Systems Analyst / Programmer A develops custom web based solutions using the .NET platform, this will include building front-end pages, databases, interfaces with other systems and reports. The Systems Analyst / Programmer A works with the development team to implement migration strategies from legacy systems to new architecture and technologies; performs other related duties as assigned or requested.  


 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  


 


Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent, plus a minimum of 3-5 years related experience required. Minimum of three years of Web based application development experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must be highly analytical and have the ability to quickly decipher and comprehend end-user requirements and development specifications. Proven track record working with users, developers and managers to build custom applications and deliver a complete web solution. Must be able to design and develop clean, straight forward and easy to use web applications (from front-end page design to databases). Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple requirements and assigned work tasks, collaborate with other members of the team but also be able to work independently with minimal guidance. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience in web development in a windows environment; Excellent knowledge of Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#, HTML, CSS and JavaScript; Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL technologies: databases, stored procedures, views, triggers, permissions. IIS web server. Knowledge of the following technologies is a plus: AJAX, Web services and XML; Microsoft Analysis, Integration and Reporting Services; Web design (Adobe Products); Advanced Excel skills such as connecting to databases and creating pivot tables; Visio and MS Project; Windows based application development. Familiarity with real estate lease management and/or financial systems is beneficial. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Attention to details a must.
