Primary Description/ Responsibilities


Provide start-to-finish system analysis throughout the product development life cycle.


- Collaborate with Marketing, Project Management, Engineering, Verification &Validation (V&V) and other project stakeholders to scope out projects and elicit detailed requirements for Life Technologies'''' software products.


- Facilitate requirements workshops and reviews with project stakeholders throughout the software life cycle.


- Perform requirements analysis to understand and communicate to the project team and beyond a clear picture of the "problem space h and its workflows, and drive out areas of uncertainty across the domain.


- Interact with the Engineering and V&V teams and support them in terms of requirement communication and clarification throughout the project life cycle.


- Apply formal methodologies and annotation in preparing requirements deliverables, including but not limited to: user stories, use cases models, feature requirements, activity diagrams, storyboards, domain models, supplemental requirements, concept diagrams, business rules, data requirements.


- Using knowledge of best practices, contribute to evolving Requirements Management process across the organization.


- Support traceability between software requirements and V&V artifacts in a regulated (auditable) software development environment (i.e. QSR and CE-IVDD).


- Participate in Voice of the Customer activities to gather and elucidate customer needs.


- Collaborate with Usability Specialists and UI Designers to provide flexible and highly usable user interfaces for complex life-science domain software that meets the needs of our customers


 


JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS


1)     BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)


2)     5+ years industry experience in a systems analyst role


3)     3+ years experience with formal software development methodology, such as the Rational Unified Process or Agile, is required.


4)     Previous experience with UML or similar object-oriented notation, together with hands-on experience using formal requirements management and modeling tools, such as Telelogic DOORs and Visio, is required. Previous experience with workshop facilitation is a must.


5)  Familiarity with Java development environments and associated technologies, relational databases and biotechnology are also desired.



Salary
Range
:  $66.00 - $70.00/hour W2 (ALL inclusive)
