Position Details:
The Pre-Sales Systems Engineer position will work closely with customers and outside field Sales force to understand customer technical requirements and how JDSU’s Drive Test Solution can fulfill those needs. This role also requires the candidate to be able work with the sales team to develop the successful selling strategies within target accounts.
Travel will primarily be in the Northeast US.
Requirements for the position include:
• Demonstrated experience in discovery and clear identification of requirements, including technical details sufficient for product definition.
• Demonstrated experience in the understanding of customer drivers for buying decisions and be able to clearly communicate the value proposition of JDSU’s Drive Test solution to the customer.
• Demonstrated experience in explaining technical capabilities and business benefits of the solution to the customer from engineering level to senior executives.
• Demonstrated experience in creating and delivering effective presentations, sales tools with the sales team.
• Providing detailed technical information to JDSU's organization for both R&D and product management, along with services and support.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including Drive Test solutions
• Knowledge of wireless protocols including UMTS, GSM, HSPA+, CDMA2000, LTE
• Recognized expertise in communications technology (e.g. RF communications, Telecommunications, Signaling and switching, Network architecture, Protocols, and Services, Lab testing).
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
