Responsibilities:
Responsible for the requirements design, analysis, documentation and verification testing of the Company’s avionic subsystems (examples:, Engine, Air Data or Fuel Instrument products). Responsible for the development of product specifications, project development plans and technical lead coordinating the development activities from Initial Concept through Production. Uses own expertise and team input to make judgments for the technical approach to system development and verification. Coordinates with other project team leaders to clarify customer and system requirements. Reviews and approves all project documents and attends (or assigns other employees to) project technical reviews and audits.
Qualifications:
• BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ten years experience in avionics design, development and project engineering.
• Experience with ISO 9000.
• Working knowledge of DO-178B, DO-160D and applicable military standards is required.
• Full product lifecycle development in a rapid prototyping environment is required.
• Familiarity with requirements definition, testing and traceability matrix development.
• Proficiency with configuration management tools and methodologies, documentation standards, formatting and microprocessors.
• Must have previous experience interfacing with Customers.
• Must have working experience on cross-functional teams.
• Must have Avionic / Aircraft experience.
